This 27-year-old gravida 1, para 0, EDC August 6, 2009 was admitted to hospital on August 2, 2009 because of left back and abdominal pain with uterine contractions. Pregnancy was normal with a weight gain of 35 lb, positive group B strep and history of urinary tract infection at 20 weeks. Physical findings revealed left CVA tenderness, tenderness of the side of the left side of the uterus and frequent painless tightening. Urinalysis was clear and s/l "klihire negative". An ultrasound was done which showed bilateral moderate hydronephrosis. No obvious stone.
