"Upon examination today his visual acuity with central study and maintained in both eyes, his pupils were equal and reactive without (s/l) any PD."

I don't understand what is meant by central study maintained. Can anyone explain?

I looked up PD in Stedman's abbreviations and found pupillary distance. Is this what this would stand for?

Also, this is a 10-month-old child.

probably for afferent pupillary defect. - c
I did figure out that "any PD" was "APD," (nm)
