be referred to as a lesion?

The patient is having left upper extremity and left lower extremity radicular symptoms. Doc says, "The only one *s/l reason or lesion* that could explain all of this would be cervical spinal stenosis; however, her lower extremity symptoms historically have been much earlier than the upper extremity symptoms, so two s/l lesions are also possible. It is also possible this could all be part of her worsened anxious depression and/or fibromyalgia
