beta adrenergics is verbal shorthand (but used as such) for beta-adrenergic blockers or beta-adrendergic blocking agents. There is a group of medications such as atenolol, sotalol, labetalol etc that are beta-adregeneric blocking agents....the generic names are like atenolol, sotalol, labetalol..etc. See OneLook Dorland's under "agent" for definition. It's like saying "calcium channel blockers" or "ACE inhibitors" ....Questyr
