Doctor states that the patient's problem

is "contusion of the proximal femur."

Then he goes on to the exam and states: "...130 degrees flexion with 130 on the other side. No varus or valgus instability. No effusion. Negative bulge test. No tenderness over the medial capsule. Stressing the knee in varus, valgus, and extension is painless."

His assessment is "Resolving contusion/torsional strain left knee."

Wouldn't the "proximal femur" involve the hip and not the knee?
