A&P #1: Insomnia. s/l *Highly off label use* for the narcotics, but given difficulty in controllling the patient's multiple issues for the time being I am willing to work with this.

It's very clear, but doesn't make sense to me.

for a reason other than it's documented purpose.

Means using the medication for something other than intended for.
