in urine and WBCs and RBCs in CBC...this is how I was taught to type these in order to distinguish them...

Has this rule changed?

with urinalysis it is wbc's and rbc's, WBCs and RBCs for blood.

WBC is white blood COUNT, rbc is red blood COUNT

Stedman's Abbrev/Acronym has RBC/WBC (red blood cell/white (nm)

What they are counting is cells. It is always (nm)
