I decided which books I needed the most and went on Ebay. Sometimes you can get outdated books really cheap. I started out not getting the newest ones, but older editions (not too old) and they have been great. I think I paid like 5.00 for one of them (all Stedman's) Just gotta keep looking...worked for me!!
