i have no idea which one to buy, and they all cost so much, it is not as if you can try out too many. i am a crippled in an accident nurse, who is doing this, so i have a taber's and a drug book, lab books, etc, but no "word books" like i think an MT needs. i look around, but it is hard to know, without having gone to that type of school, which one is best(?) i have been winging it so far. VERY few qa returns, in fact, none in months, by looking up stuff on the internet alone & a little taber's. i just found this board the other day by searching for something crazy, and this was a hit. i would like to have books or cds (i know a lot of them come that way now), but i have no idea where to start and, as i say, it is a heavy investment. i am doing GP stuff, soap notes. any suggestions?

Sorry, not Paula, but have some advice.

If you want to find off the wall stuff, go with Vera Pyle. If I forget to look there first, I usually end up finding it in there. You could invest in a general medical word book too, which covers a little (very little) bit of everything. Sounds like you're doing great with what resources you have.
