There was also discussion of surgery, such as a lateral femoral cutaneous s/l neurokinesis as well as a sympathectomy as well as consideration for a stimulator.
Pt has had lumbar fusion in the past.

I searched a lot and learned that in RSD the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve can be surgically cut (neurotmesis) in severe cases of RSD. I have never heard this term before, but it could be pronounced similar to neurokinesis.
No experience with this, just was curious so spent a lot of time searching, and I think this is at least a reasonable guess. Wish I could give you an absolutely firm answer, but can't.
been tryin' too
?neurolysis (nm)

that term, neurotmesis, is used to refer to a cutting of a nerve that occurs with an injury. I am just guessing that maybe this doctor is using it to refer to surgical cutting of the nerve in this case, which I learned is sometimes done to help patients with intractable RSD.
Wow... thanks for your skilled research! OP
Thank you all! Going with neurotmesis, works well..
